Fishbowl Night

Towards the end of the club year, we have "Fishbowl Night". For each section completed that night, the clubber gets a piece of paper to put his/her name on. They put them in a glass fishbowl at the front of the room at the end of handbook time. At the end of the night, I have one of the leaders pull out 3 pieces of paper. Those 3 receive gift cards (we use Sonic cards): $15, $10, & $5. If the same name is pulled out more than once, we chose a different piece of paper. This way everyone has the same chance to win a prize.

This would be good for a review night. If the clubbers knew well in advance that that amount of money was going to be available, they might review verses. That night during game time, they could say the verses they've written on cards (to study) to listeners (lots of listeners) and add a "fish" for each verse. It would be encouraging just to see all the fish in the bowl.
