Problems with the new style jewel wings for Sparks

Does anybody have problems with the new style jewel wings for Sparks? We have a lot breaking & pulling out causing added expense to our program. Hey Awana can we go back to the old style crowns???

We [Awana] are aware of the problem. We deeply regret these problems and the difficulty and inconvenience they caused our customers. To address the issues with the pilot wings, Awana did two things:

1. We immediately shipped replacement pilot wings to churches that indicated having a problem with them.
2. We took steps with the manufacturer to eliminate the defects:
   1. A hardening agent was added to the material composition to encase the head of the pin much more tightly in the back of the wings.
   2. The holes for the jewels in the face of the wings were reduced in size to tighten their grip on the jewel posts.
   3. The process to apply the color accent strips was improved.
