BOOKMARKS / FAVORITES NIGHT
Basic Idea

A wonderful night for the kids to make something special for themselves or to make and give to their Adopt-a-Club. Also, if your budget allows, this is a terrific opportunity to give inexpensive paperback Bibles to the children in your Club who have been attending but may not own a Bible or who have been borrowing one from your Club.

Buy some plain white bookmarks from a local paper supplier. Appoint several children the week before to come prepared to read their favorite Bible verse and tell why it is their favorite (call parents to remind them). Have all the older children print their favorite verse on the bookmark or draw a picture of their favorite Bible story (younger) on the bookmark.

or

If time does not allow for bookmarks to be made let the children take them home the week before and bring them back and follow the same council time message with your kids. If kids are not able to participate, have several leaders ready to share their favorite verses and why they are favorites
.

Council Time

Share favorite scriptures and explaining their meaning and importance in your life. Leaders could share their favorite salvation verses.

Game Time

Play games involving books - balancing a book on your head as you relay race around Awana circle, books of the Bible drill as a team, or just do favorite games of your clubbers.

Handbook Time
Let kids pick their favorite treat as a reward for a certain amount of verses or sections
