Missionary Night / Foreign Lands Night / Eat Around the World Night
Basic Idea
Have Missionaries come and talk to the kids about what they do, talk to the kids about how eveyone who shares Jesus with their friends is a missionary, encourage kids to tell their friends about Jesus. Dress as if you're from another country. Many, many ideas could be utilized on a Missions night.

1) Have your Awana missionary visit. Do something special for them such as a pounding, canned goods drive, a book of postage stamps for each Clubber family could be brought to club for them. Even if your missionary cannot come, you can do something special for them.

2) Get a huge box and have the Clubbers bring treats, books, stickers and other small items for their Adopt-a-Club. Also, this would be a great night to set as the night to have your $5.00 Adopt-a-Club bank filled in and the patches could be awarded for the year.

3) Get some Leaders or ladies in your church to prepare an ethnic dish from the country of your Adopt-a-Club.

4) Bring a camera to share pictures of this night with your Adopt-a-Club. Perhaps have the kids draw some pictures and write a few letters to make a book for your Adopt-a-Club.

Foreign Lands Night - Plan this night around your Mission Conference time. Each clubber comes dressed in an outfit of a country of their choice. You can parade them across the platform so that all could see. Some clubs might also want to give an award for the best costume. The message can be from a missionary speaking about getting the gospel around the world.

Eat Around The World Night - Have leaders and other people from church bring in different foods from around the world. Each clubber has a suit case (made from construction paper) and they go around to different tables and taste everything. Give the clubber a sticker (you can get ones with flags or kids from across the world) for each item he tries. Examples: tortillas from Mexico, grape leaves from Greece, fish from Hong Kong, etc., be creative. At the end give a small prize to everyone who tried everything or to the one who tried the most. We did this on a missions night.
Council Time
Have a missionary do the council time message. Scripture references: Matthew 9:37-38; Luke 10:2; John 4:35.
Game Time
Find a book or talk with someone in your church or a local seminary and perhaps have a seminary student come and teach games from different countries.
Handbook Time
Learn a verse in another language and teach it to the kids. Give out some type of ethnic dessert or snack from another country as rewards for passing sections/verses.
Ways to Decorate
Decorate as if it were another country, display things from various countries
