Insight from a Children's Pastor & Awana Commander

Welcome to The “New” Awana

Today, Awana publicly launched the new Awana website. There is a brand new design and you will notice that the once restricted leader resource area has been “opened up” for easier access to provide training for you and the leaders in your ministry.

The new website helps show the stronger alignment of the global message of Awana, to reach kids, and provides a more streamlined experience for the user.

One of the new features of the website is a blog that will help you not only in your Awana club, but reaching children in general that is applicable in any children’s ministry. With many authors, there is always fresh content to help you in your ministry. You can visit the blog here and you can also subscribe to the blog.

You will see that the focus of Awana stands on three pillars:

  • Reach Kids
  • Equip Leaders
  • Change the World

Let me comment on each one briefly….

Reach Kids

Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Those who come to faith at a young age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future.

That drives Awana in their global mission to reach and disciple kids.

Equip Leaders

Awana equips church leaders and parents to reach and disciple kids who impact their generation with the Gospel.

Providing resources and expertise, Awana empowers more than 30,000 churches and mobilizes more than 330,000 leaders around the world to reach kids through evangelism and long-term discipleship.

Change the World

God is at work changing the world through the evangelism and long-term discipleship ministry of Awana.

Kids lives are forever transformed. Volunteers grow into leaders. Families become stronger and churches build community through active involvement in Awana.
